Founded in 1938 as one of Standard Oil\u2019s original credit unions, Red Crown Credit Union has deep roots in the Tulsa, Oklahoma community. While proud of its heritage, Red Crown is also focused on the future and modernizing how it communicates with members\u2014telling its unique story in a more dynamic, accessible way.<\/span><\/p>\n

With just over $260 million in assets, Red Crown is in what Vice President of Marketing <\/span>Jeremy Daggs<\/b> calls its \u201cteenage years\u201d as an organization: big enough to do certain things, but not quite large enough to do everything in-house. That means efficiency and scalability are key, especially for a lean marketing team that wears many hats.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the team discovered SundaySky through its partnership with Allied Solutions, they saw an opportunity to accelerate their video efforts and create more impact with less effort.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur new focus is telling our story and showing how we\u2019re a unique institution that helps our members and community grow in their financial life. Video is one piece that allows us to share that story and make our members\u2019 financial lifestyle a lot easier.\u201d <\/i><\/b>said Daggs<\/span><\/p>\n

The challenge: Creating more content, faster<\/span><\/h2>\n

Before adopting SundaySky, Red Crown\u2019s video production was entirely manual and time-intensive. Daggs, who has a background in graphic design and video editing, often handled everything from scripting and shooting to post-production on his own.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe challenge was being a one-man shop. When you\u2019re shooting, editing, and producing everything, you don\u2019t have time to do other things,\u201d <\/i><\/b>said Daggs.<\/span> \u201cEspecially in today\u2019s world, where you need to create new content consistently.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The credit union produced traditional TV commercials, but found it difficult to keep up with the growing need for digital and social content. Hiring additional production resources wasn\u2019t practical, and the process of creating high-quality videos in-house often took weeks.<\/span>\u201cIf I wanted to produce a 10-minute video myself,\u201d <\/i><\/b>said Daggs, \u201cthat would take me three weeks to a month just for one video.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Solution: Scalable video creation with SundaySky + Allied Solutions\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

When Red Crown\u2019s leadership introduced SundaySky, the marketing team was new to using a video creation platform of this kind. Both Jeremy Daggs and <\/span>Marketing Specialist Nich Shust<\/b> took time to explore the system, experiment, and learn how it could best fit their workflow. Once they understood its capabilities, they quickly realized how much more efficiently they could produce high-quality videos.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOnce we really understood how the system works and how it fits with what we\u2019re trying to do, it made sense,\u201d<\/i><\/b> said Daggs.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the first major projects the team tackled with SundaySky was a 10-minute mortgage education video\u2014a perfect example of how they can now produce longer, more comprehensive training content without the traditional production strain.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n
